Framed in an eye catching shield shaped brooch with hand engraved pattern, a gorgeous antique star is given a new opportunity to shine. The original 1860's antique is made in 18k gold with old mine and rose cut diamonds of the period. The shield has been a symbol of protection and support going as far back as the Aegis worn by Zeus and Athena. Designed as part of Sam Lafford's first collection of men's jewellery this brooch sits comfortably on the lapel of someone with an edgy or androgynous style, regardless of gender.
