Met worthy Irish jewels

This years’ Met gala did not disappoint - hosted on May 6th 2019 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, it was a fantastic display of creativity, drama and glamour. Since its beginnings the fundraiser has become a landmark of the fashion calendar and has been endorsed by fashion, film and sports celebrities.

The theme was ‘Camp: Notes on fashion’ so no wonder stars dressed to impress! We could not take our eyes off the costumes, they were absolute works of art and so were the accessories - a sparkling array of head pieces and jewels.

And of course, we could not be prouder as our very own Irish stars Saoirse Ronan, Sinead Burke and Ruth Negga walked this year’s pink carpet under the close scrutiny of Anna Wintour. Do you think you’re brave enough for jewels that would make a Met gala type of entrance?

It is fun to see just how much the right accessory can complete an outfit – while we may not all attend the Met next year, it’s nice to know the right jewels to dress up for a special occasion or to finish off an outfit are within reach!
