What your engagement ring says about you!
Do you know what your engagement ring says about you – except that you’re taken? It says lots and lots apparently because certain personality types are drawn to certain shapes, so your ring says more about you that you think.
What’s in a cut?
ROUND BRILLIANT CUT: is probably the most popular choice with good reason, its 58 facets give wonderful sparkle! The round cut suggests the lady wearing it is sincere and romantic and has an appreciation of traditional values. She is elegant and chooses classic designs that will stand the test of time.
PRINCESS CUT: the second most popular choice after the round cut - this is a classic cut with a twist. Its clean contemporary lines appeal to ladies with more modern tastes. This apparently says that you are traditional with a difference! You are also full of energy, fun loving and not afraid to be the centre of attention.
CUSHION CUT: The cushion cut has all the strength of the princess cut, but its rounded corners lend it a softness that is ever so feminine. Also known as a vintage cut, its distinctive shape hints at a fashionable wearer who values elegance and is romantic.
ASSCHER CUT: this vintage cut became wildly popular after Carrie Bradshaw, a character from Sex and City, debuted the gem shape in the show. Striking and exuding old school glamour, the Asscher cut ladies are said to have a flair for the dramatic, love unique things and everything vintage
OVAL CUT: The oval shape can have just as many facets as a round brilliant cut offering similar brilliance but it has a bit of individuality thrown in for good measure. Ladies who are drawn to this shape tend to be sophisticated and enjoy things that are one of a kind, they are also creative and bold.
PEAR SHAPE: a combination of oval and marquise cuts, the pear shape appeals to ladies who look for individuality; they are stylish and not afraid to express themselves. Pear shapes reflect an interesting mix of tradition and modernism.
